British American TobaccoKosovo has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Executive in Pristina office.
The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards. This role involves delivering critical financial data and maintaining clear, effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders on a daily basis. Therefore, outstanding interpersonal skills are essential
Main responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile tax reports prior to submission, ensuring full compliance with local regulations
- Lead the monthly closing process, including general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
- Support tax and statutory audits, liaising with authorities and external auditors
- Oversee daily accounting operations (AP/AR, vendor setup in SAP, fixed assets including IFRS 16, open item clearing)
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure timely implementation within the organization
Candidate Profile / Expectations:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting, with solid knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within an international environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify improvements and optimize financial processes
- Self-driven and adaptable professional, able to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented approach
