ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Primary Responsibilities:
Translating Marketing plans into actionable items across Japan market to ensure sustainable and impactful growth.
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to translate marketing plans into actionable, on-the-ground commercial execution plans.
- Lead the implementation and operationalization of various marketing activities, where applicable.
- Be the custodian of project management with tight time-fencing and orchestration.
- Develop and propose standardized process for granular KPI tracking for Commercial team.
- Most primary point of contact in operationalizing projects across all teams.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement and ad-hoc support
- Supporting ad-hoc initiatives driven by management.
- Analyze commercial processes and metrics to find opportunities for improvement.
What is the direct impact of this role on the team and/or organization?
This role will act as a bridge between the Japan Commercial Team and the Area Marketing Teams and Finance Planning Teams. Key impact is to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the business expectations, clear on any actions needed, and collaborating to achieve operational excellence.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead various project management and foster alignment and collaboration between function.
- Understand company plan and break it down to actional items for each team, and ensure all teams are delivering according to the plan.
- Track actual performance vs. target, account for variance and propose future mitigation plan.
- Analyze account point of sale and shipping data for market dynamics understanding.
- Support line manager and business stakeholders by conducting in-depth analysis utilizing customer POS data for our brands and key competitors, to generate high-impact commercial insights.
- Sharing and cascade of correct information at the right time to the right people.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years work experience in areas related Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Trade & Commercial (multinational FMCG companies preferred)
- Experience in project management
- Brand Marketing / Performance Marketing / Trade & Commercial Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required:
- Excellent reporting and presentation capabilities
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Written and spoken fluency in both Japanese and English
(equally important with high proficiency level) - Analytical, accurate and attention to details
- Ability to operate with pace under pressure, while ensuring follow-ups of all action items are done on time in full.
