British American Tobacco Vietnam has an exciting opportunity for a NPI Delivery Manager in HCMC, Vietnam
The NPI Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of all NPI product launches, modifications, regulatory requirements, and brand SKU rationalisation in the end market. Specifically, this includes all global, regional and end market-initiated CAP 0, CAP 1 and selected CAP 2 rated projects (usually for single market execution). This role is also expected to work closely with the RNPI Project Manager for the area/market to support robust project portfolio tracking, compliance to the new ways of working for effective NPI management and provide appropriate reporting to relevant governance forums (PDT/RNPI) for collaborator management and decision making.They must demonstrate the ability to drive ordered progress across project types of varying complexity from simple bar code changes to complex and innovative brand introductions that require collaborator management across many levels in both the end market organisation and the wider BAT group. A key requirement to achieve this is a thorough understanding of what effective NPI management entails i.e., project management is completed in accordance with Group Standards for Decision Rights, Protocols and HIVE system usage against audit compliance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the delivery of assigned projects to agreed time, quality, and cost, using the mandated approval and stage-gate management process stipulated in the One Marketing Decision Rights, to enable achievement of end market cycle plans
- Manage the end-to-end project implementation in HIVE OTIF considering integration across all areas in the business based on the scope of the project as defined in the Project Mandate and/or Project Brief.
- Develop the full project plan with input from the functional experts and monitor and manage the project schedule as per the project plan by assigning tasks in HIVE to the appropriate functional expert including any related Master Data.
- Managing the project budget on behalf of the commercial budget holder and driving the local business case completion as well as project risks through the HIVE risks management functionality and ensure adequate risk mitigation is in place.
- Deal with operational issues and negotiate and resolve issues as they arise across areas of the project and where they impact on other activities, systems, and projects.
- Providing the visibility of potential problems earlier in the project lifecycle, and the ability to take the appropriate recommendations/ corrective action to the appropriate forums (S&IR, GMA)
- Collaborate with partners at all levels to develop aligned plans & priorities, resolve project issues and secure support necessary to ensure project delivery
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project objectives.
- Establish, lead, and motivate cross functional teams to successfully deliver projects and support collaboration within and across teams
- Champion the BAT NPI Process and associated system across functions, driving best-practice, ensuring full audit compliance
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the NPI Community, Global Brand delivery team, Regional and End-Market Brand Marketing, Global and Regional Functional Experts, Regional Operations functions
- Drive constant improvement in the performance of the NPI process via engagement of Regional Operations functions, Global and Regional Brand Delivery teams, Functional Experts and Regional Marketing

- Proven ability to successfully manage projects through strong project management, and excellent knowledge of Prince 2 principles
- Good organisational skills with inherent rigor in keeping documentation on projects up-to-date and in order
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels, and an ability to influence effectively without authority – understands and appreciates the merit of collaborative work.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, core processes and systems
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects that vary in complexity and priority
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Good attention to detail with a “hands-on” and “can do” attitude
- Outstanding EQ and "political navigational" skills i.e., Influencing effectively without authority in a cross-cultural environment across varied management levels (from project teams to project boards)
- Delivery of results under extremely tight and stressful timelines
- Flexibility to adjust working style in an ever-changing business environment
- Independent and takes ownership of tasks whilst displaying a skillset for troubleshooting
- Leadership qualities to champion and guide on the new ways of working
